Pet Sitter vs Kennels

Many people believe a pet sitter it is more expensive than a dog kennel or pet boarding, but that is clearly not true, especially if you have more than one pet. In my opinion, pet sitters are clearly the best choice for superior care for your pet. Not only does it give you peace of mind but your pets get to stay in their familiar surroundings. Have your pet in it

Kennels are kennels, it is as simple as that. It is a place to board your pet because you won't be around. While these facilities have improved over the last decade and they tend to be cleaner than that of the past, they are still kennels. You still have the usual and unavoidable risks involved with kenneling your pets.

Pet sitting is booming.

Think about it. Wouldn't you rather have your pet stay in their home where they will be able to be in the comfort, security and familiarity of their home and where they can stick to their regular routine and relax in their favorite places? If I were a dog I know I would.

Advantages

Having your pet cared for in it's own home over a kennel has a number of advantages when it comes to the personalized service and overall pet safety. The additional peace of mind that comes with knowing someone is checking on your home, watering your plants, turning the lights and blinds and bringing in the mail, newspaper and garbage cans. Find a kennel that will do that!

No transportation to and from the facility and stress to the pet. No having to pack your pets favorite toys, beds and bowls to the kennel. Your pet will not be restricted to one room or kennel and no concrete cold floors. You won't have to worry that your pet is stressed from being in an unfamiliar environment.

Your pet will not be exposed to other animals. It is just like sending your kids to school and being exposed to germs, our pets experience the same when it comes to kennels and although it may be of no fault of the kennel, It's just that they are exposed to things they are not normally exposed to. Many times pets return home from a visit with kennel cough and falling ill

Bottom-line, If you have a sitter a in your area– use them!
