Elegant and Dignified

This poodle is the only breed that comes in three different sizes and a variety of different colors including white, black, apricot and gray. The stylish "Poodle clip" was designed by hunters to help the dogs move through the water more efficiently.

There is the toy, minature and standard size with the standard being the oldest and most popular. The toy was often used in circuses.

The Toy is 10 inches or under at the highest point of shoulders.
The Miniature is under 15 inches at the highest point of the shoulder.
The Standard is over 15 inches at the highest point of the shoulders.

These breeds are highly intelligent and responsive and it is said that they are one of the most trainable breeds. Happy, friendly, perky and lively, they like to run and play. They are generally good with other pets and dogs.
