Originally bred to aid farmers in ridding their properties of pests, today they excel in obedience, agilityand tracking trails. Despite their small size he is a tough little dog. He is easily trainable, spirited, and a restless little busy body. Alert and loyal, loveable and curious and love their family. Because of their history Cairns have an instinct to dig and chase small animals. They are patient and playful with children and adapt well to new homes.
